MUN Event

Homerton Grammar School Concludes Maiden Edition of Model United Nations Conference Faridabad, July 5, 2025

Homerton Grammar School successfully hosted the inaugural edition of its two-day Model United Nations (MUN) Conference, Ekatva, on July 4 and 5, 2025. The event brought together young delegates from Grade 6 onwards to engage in thoughtful deliberations, simulate diplomatic dialogue, and address some of the world’s most pressing global challenges. The conference commenced with an inaugural ceremony graced by Shri T.S. Dalal, Chairman of the MVM Society, who addressed the gathering on the importance of youth involvement in global governance and diplomacy. His keynote speech set an inspiring tone for the event, which was marked by intense debates, collaboration, and leadership. Over the course of the conference, participants represented different nations across a range of dynamic committees including:

  • United Nations General Assembly (UNGA)
  • United Nations Commission on the Status of Women (UNCSW)
  • All India Political Parties Meet (AIPPM)
  • Indian Premier League Auction Committee (IPL)
  • International Press (IP)

Each committee tackled key international and national issues and the implications of artificial intelligence in warfare. Delegates demonstrated commendable research, public speaking, and diplomatic skills as they drafted resolutions and navigated complex geopolitical landscapes.

Adding depth to the experience, the event also included training sessions for first-time delegates, real- time coverage by the International Press Corps, and an engaging Crisis Simulation, offering students a first-hand taste of global policymaking under pressure.

The closing ceremony was graced by Dr. Arvind Gupta as Chief Guest. Awards for Best Delegate, High Commendation, and Honourable Mention were presented to outstanding performers across all committees.

Speaking at the closing, Mr. Rajtheep Singh, President of A.G.E.S, shared his vision for education, stating, “Education is an agricultural process, not an industrial one. Just like seeds require the right environment, time, and nurturing to grow into strong plants, children too need a supportive and enriching atmosphere to flourish into well-rounded individuals. Ekatva MUN is a reflection of that belief — where students are nurtured to think independently and act responsibly on global issues.”

The maiden edition of Ekatva MUN received enthusiastic feedback from students, faculty, and guests, reinforcing Homerton Grammar School’s commitment to developing globally conscious, empathetic, and solution-driven leaders of tomorrow
