School team wins ‘State Level Kabaddi Tournament’

Another feather in our hat. This time our teams win State level kabaddi tournament, organized by ‘Recreational Games Association Haryana’ at the 3rd Inter School Recreational Games State Championship on 26th & 27th May 2018. Both the boys and girls team of our school showed marvelous sportsmanship at the tournament. They won #Silver and #Bronze medals and made us feel proud once again.

Ishika Singh Rajput wins District level Table Tennis Tournament

We are proud to announce that during the First District Ranking Table Tennis Tournament 2018, organized by District Table Tennis Association, Faridabad Ishika Singh Rajput of sixth standard outshined with two medals in different categories.
She won first place in under 10 category and 2nd runner-up in under 12 category. In both the matches she won against student of Manav Rachna School Sector 14, Faridabad.
The tournament was held at Dynasty International School, Faridabad on 19th – 20th of May 2018. Around 30 schools from the district had participated in the tournament.
The victory was appreciated & awarded in the school premises, with President Mr. Kuldip Singh and Principal Mrs. Archana Dogra awarding her with a Special recognition certificate. They congratulated her and wished success for future endeavours.
Well Done Ishika. Keep up the excellent work. We all are proud of you!! Three cheers for Ishika and her coach Mr. Ashish Kumar Pal.


Girls team of Homerton Grammar School, participated in Sports Championship, District Level Kabaddi Tournament organized by Recreational Games Association Faridabad on 13th May 2018. Four teams from the school participated in the tournament. Under 14 and under 17 girls team stood first in both the matches under the captainship of Akhansha Chaprana and Somya Parmar and won gold medals. Under 14 boys team under the captainship of Shivam Awana stood third and won bronze medals.
The sports Championship was hosted by Chaudhary Hari Ram Sports Academy, Sahupura, Ballabgarh. There was a friendly match for the Chief Guest which was also won by our girl’s team. The magnificent and commendable performance of our teams was coached and mentored by our Physical Education teacher Mr. Manjit Singh.
The grand victory of the teams was celebrated in the school premises, with Principal Mrs. Archana Dogra awarding all winners and participants with their respective medals and trophies. She congratulated each student and wished them success for their future endeavours. All other members of the staff and students witnessed the appreciation ceremony and applauded the winning teams with loud cheers. It was a great moment of victory and honour for the school.

Governor of Haryana Welcomed by Homertonians

May 8, 2018: On the occasion of state level World Red Cross Day Celebration, District Red Cross Branch Gurugram, in collaboration with Haryana state branch, welcomed Hon’ble Governor of Haryana Professor Kaptan Singh Solanki for the occasion as the Chief Guest. He is also the President of Indian Red Cross Society and St. John Ambulance Haryana.
Senior students of Homerton Grammar School Sector 21A, Faridabad were selected to welcome Hon’ble Governor on the day, at Kingdom of Dreams Gurugram. The students enthusiastically participated in welcoming the Governor with banners, placards and posters. The posters and banners were made by the students of the school giving information and appeal on social and humanitarian issues like save water, save girl child etc. The programme began with the arrival and reception of Chief Guest and Haryana state Red Cross members at the campus of Kingdom of Dreams. The programme was followed by flag hosting and cultural event by a team of performers from Kingdom Of Dreams.
The programme ended with a vote of thanks by Hon’ble Governor followed by distribution of awards. The students of Homerton Grammar were appreciated for their presence and kind gesture.
