Yet another day filled with motivation, enthusiasm, and encouragement. A mission and a vision to make our city polythene free. students of class 4th to 12th participated to make it a success.
All students, teachers and staff members of our school celebrated World Mother Earth day on the theme “SAY NO TO PLASTIC’. The event started with over 1000 students and teachers taking a pledge to reduce the usage of polythene bags.
Hon’ble Sh. Shyam Sundar secretary of Red Cross Society Haryana, conducted the oath-taking ceremony. All students were handed over cloth bags made by the inmates of jail by our school management.
Hon’ble Ms. Ayesha Trehan Bhalla along with Mr Ankit Nayyar president – Prabhat an awakening NGO also addressed our students regarding the ill effects of Plastic pollution.
Sh. Ajay Garg of Aagan foundation also graced the occasion by enlightening our students to help stop plastic pollution. He also distributed specially made stickers for the parents to get informed about the hazardous effects of plastic pollution.
Hon’ble Sh. Chandra Dutt Sharma, chief sanitary inspector Municipal Corporation of Faridabad was also present to inform students about how to segregate garbage from our homes.
Students, teachers & management actively participated in this interactive session to make it a mission in the coming days.
If it is World Mother Earth Day, then how can we not include our little ones. several activities were conducted for kindergarten and junior sections in our school. It included paper bag making, coloring mother earth graphic, and plantation drive. They were introduced to the topic #earthday and got knowledge on they can contribute towards saving our planet.
A successful career counseling session was held at Homerton Grammar school today for aspiring students of class eleventh. Parents along with the wards enthusiastically participated to make the session a success.
Teachers gave guidance on the varied subjects prescribed at our school in senior secondary level.
Career Counseling session was organized to encourage students to explore career path possibilities, enhance self-discovery and make smarter choices. Parents, teachers and students of our school gained tremendously from this interactive session. There was a doubt clearing session at the end of the program wherein one to one discussion and confusions related to choosing of stream were taken up by the teachers.
Such sessions will also be planned in future to encourage students to pave the right path for them. At Homerton School it has been our mission to make education is a phenomenon from which everyone can gain equally and hence apply it further in making right career choices.
We are going to organize a ‘Career Counselling’ session to encourage students to explore career path possibilities, enhance self-discovery and make smarter choices. We cordially invite the parents & students of class XI to come and be a part of this session. It will be an enlightening session for both parents and students to help them choose from an array of career opportunities. Our teachers will be taking you through this interactive session.

World Health Day is celebrated on April 7 every year to mark the anniversary of World Health Organization (WHO) and to draw attention to
the topic of Global Health. On the occasion of 70th anniversary WHO theme was ‘Universal Health Coverage: Everyone – Everywhere’
We at Homerton Grammar School, celebrated this international day to make our students aware of the importance of health & healthcare. The day started with briefing and enlightening our students with the importance of this day internationally and by asking them how they choose to remain ‘Fit & Active’. The students of class two to class eight actively participated in activities like crossword puzzles, word search games on topics of health and nutrition. Students were also briefed about an interesting food fact ‘ food packet label guide’ this was an interesting – interactive session where we informed students of class four & five about nutritional information mentioned on food packets. It will help them in choosing the right kind of packed food for them. Enthusiastic participation was shown at all levels by our students.
